New Port Richey, Florida -- Smokey, an opossum, clings to Mary Ann DeSimone, a volunteer with Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park Tuesday while on a visit to the New Port Richey Public Library. DeSimone and fellow volunteer brought Smokey, a flying squirrel, a diamond back tarpon (turtle), a baby alligator, an owl, and a kestrel (American falcon) as part of the library's summer reading program.
