George is a cancer-sniffing canine who was trained to sniff cancerous cells in humans even before medical tests can detect them. The Schnauzer "sits" and points to a test tube containing lung cancer cells. He is best known for detecting skin cancer by circling a patient and sniffing until stopping at an area such as a cancerous mole. His owner, former K-9 police officer Duane Pickel (shown here), worked with dermatologists in a pilot study to train dogs to scent and detect melanoma, the deadliest skin cancer and fastest-growing type of cancer. ..CONTACT Carla Hotvedt at SILVER IMAGE® Photo Agency and Weddings 352.373-5771 or carla@silverimagephotoagency.com....
